Taylor Seminary Goes On the Road, Gets 'Connected'
Taylor is pleased to announce that modular courses will be offered in two cities this fall as Taylor Seminary goes 'on the road,' training students in their home towns.
In Kelowna, BC, Dr. Syd Page will teach NT 416 New Testament Introduction, a course that will examine every book of the New Testament. Offered in conjunction with Carey Theological College and Trinity Baptist Church, this course is available for graduate credit, and is also transferrable as undergraduate credit to other post-secondary institutions (call for details).
Dr. Joost Pikkert will teach our course in Grande Prairie, Alberta. WR 523 Christian Encounter with World Religions will be offered over three weekends between September and November. Classes will take place at Christian Fellowship Assembly, and interested students should be in touch with Enrolment Services as soon as possible to begin the application and registration process.

More about the Grande Prairie course is available here.

The new E P Wahl Centre at Taylor was formally dedicated on Friday June 11, 2010. Attending the event were almost 150 friends and supporters of Taylor, including a number of former students who knew Dr. E.P. Wahl personally. There was a summary of Dr. Wahl's life, and representatives of the Board of Trustees shared a Prayer of Dedication, written by Dr. Werner Waitkus.
You can listen to an audio recording of the Wahl Centre Dedication service here.

Conservatory of Music at Taylor Prepares for Fall Launch
Taylor is pleased to announce the formation and launch of the Conservatory of Music at Taylor. This new branch
of the institution is built on a 70-year old heritage of music, and will include a number of instructors who have been part of Taylor in recent years.
The conservatory will serve musicians of all ages and abilities, offering lessons and classes and other educational and performance opportunities beginning this fall. It will be located in Muller Hall, which is getting a modest face-lift to accomodate the needs of the instructors and students. Anyone interested in being a part of the conservatory should contact Marg Daly at 780-431-5266.
The new logo, made public on May 7, 2010, was the winning entry in a design contest at www.99designs.com.

New e-Book: The Word in 2010
As the year 2010 began, we invited church leaders to share with us the gist of their "New Year's sermon," or the theme that will be emphasized in each church in the months ahead. The results have been compiled into an e-book that we hope you'll find interesting. Feel free to save it, print it, share it, and be sure to encourage your church to be part of a larger compilation when we'll do the same thing for 2011!
